I purchased this router from Amazon and the Belkin N+ router from a large box retailer. I tried setting up the Belkin N+ router and was unable to do so, it could not recognize my cable modem. from Amazon.com That's it! For less than $40 I installed a wireless router that works very well! My installation required that I call tech support. from Amazon.com I just set this modem up in less than 10 minutes and now can have my home PC wired with my work laptop on the wireless - both work great! This was the easiest setup I've ever had with a router. Honestly, I used to wonder why companies couldn't make setup easier for these things, and Belkin has managed to do it. I've had it for a couple of weeks now and I haven't had any issues with dropped signal on my laptop, its very fast and can cruise the internet and download with ease. Anyway, after many failed attempts, success! I have a laptop and a desktop working with this router and every time I start up either one of my computers and click on "connect to my router" it asks for my password and then asks to confirm my password then it connects and I'm ready to go online wireless. Lets put it this way, a computer geek would have no problems setting up a password but if your not a geek you may hit roadblocks like I did but keep the faith. from Amazon.com This router is great.
