ConsNone so far from Dell.com Good menu options. Easy to setup. Cons: The Belkin was purchased to replace a Linksys WRT54G router. After setting it up on Comcast, adding a few port forwarding rules and modifying the wifi sec settings it worked flawlessly for almost 3 hours. from Newegg.com Pros: looks like it can do the job but looks are deceiving. Cons: this wireless router drops connection every 20 seconds. it is impossible to update the firmware from their website. from Newegg.com Pros: Out of the box and up in running in five minutes. No issues setting it up with a aged Mac G5 with Leopard and works well with two PCs and a Canon MP620 network printer. Cons: Documentation on disc only (besides quick start guide) Other Thoughts: This is my third Belkin Router and appears to be a tie breaker. from Newegg.com I bought this as an "upgrade" from my Linksys WRT54G router that had served me for 5 years without a hitch. It was cheap ($50) and seemed to be the middle range of their "N" series ...what a mistake! The Good news: from Amazon.com When I first started using it I had problems with random disconnects every couple minutes, which seemed related to the encryption settings. I had to use week WEP encryption to avoid the drops. However after updating my router to the latest firmware (which should now be included as this was nearly two years ago), I no longer have any stability problems whatsoever with the higher security of wpa2. I use the router with two dell laptops, a leopard macbook, and an iphone, as well as my ethernet linked pc. from Amazon.com I really like the range I get with this router. I had another belkin G, it just didnt make it through the whole house (cement walls). Now with this one, I get a good signal throughout (2400 sq/ft). from Amazon.com Pros: Nice attractive design Cons: I've had this nearly two months.
