Not to mention I get disconnected every 4-5 minutes, than have to sit and twittle my thumbs until it desides to re-connect. This happens no matter if Im in the same room as the router or am in a different room. I have called netgear 3 times and have been put on hold 3 times and "accidently" hung up 3 times. My next router will NOT be a netgear. from Bestbuy.com I just received the WPN824NA (refurbished) and replaced my old Netgear WGR614 which has been working fine over the years. The old router just didn't cover one room about 50 feet away with 3 walls in between. from Amazon.com I had this router for over two years and it ran flawlessly. Never any problem. Netgear was also great about customer support when I had a little trouble understanding how to set it up. They talked me right through and I had it working in about a half hour. from Amazon.com I called tech support; he was rude and told me my computer was a piece of junk, then hung up on me. No, I'm not kidding. I finally figured it out by myself, but I cannot recommend Netgear's support service. from Amazon.com overall i am happy with this router. first let me begin by saying i have a standard 6mbps broadband internet service from my cable company. the only reason i was going to buy a wireless router was because my PS3 doesn't support the cheap Ethernet cable my isp provided. when i couldn't find a 10baset or better cable i looked for wireless routers, i was able to find this at my neighborhood radioshack, after i saw the price was such a great value compared to the online prices i had seen for this same router...i bought it from Amazon.com I had a perfectly good Linksys wired router but my family wanted wireless, particularly my son, the Xbox Live player. Well the Xbox wireless adapter will not work with the wireless N routers and only certain G routers, this Netgear RangeMax being one. from Amazon.com Got home, opened it, and followed the instructions and was fine untill it said that we didn't the wires wern't connected right. So we tried it 3 more times and still said it. So we called Netgear and they helped us get passed that. I thought that we were good to go. from Amazon.com I bought this so that my kids PS3 could connect wirelessly and they could play online. First...did not work...only had like 10% signal strenght. from Amazon.com The Netgear WPN824 is by far the best non-N router i have used, ever! This router handles alot of traffic for my apartment. from Amazon.com It is easy to install and has superior firewall technology. We can pick up signals on all three floors and streaming video and voice is excellent. This is by far the best wireless router that I've ever used. One of our adapters is a Netgear 108Mbps PCI adapter and the other is a USB adapter plugged into a laptop. from Amazon.com
