The tool has great power, fits my hand well, the bit changing is a snap(when it works)and the VS is very useful but, I have had three of these and they all failed in a very short order. Two of them the VS unit failed and caused the router to quit/run intermittently . I was using a 1/8" round over bit in both instances. The third example the motor shaft lock failed making it most difficult to remove my bit. from Amazon.com This tool is worth every penny. My intention was to remove the rotten wood and cut into the 10" hi X 8" thick logs a distance of 1.5 " in order to place 4 2X10 X8ft boards on edge above the fireplace. I liked all of the features of the router, namely the variable speed, soft start, edge guide and case but was somewhat hesitant to purchase due to the bad comments of the spindle lock and single wrench. I went ahead and purchased the router on 2/11/09 and to my surprise it included two wrenches, a 17mm and a 10mm for tightening the collet. from Amazon.com I purchased this Bosch router about 1 year ago.
