Best Rice Cookers and Steamers for Inner Pot

strengths: cooks fluffy white rice; timer; non-stick inner pot; steamer basket fits on top of inner pot weaknesses: slightly longer time to cook rice (45-55 mins) means you have to plan ahead;

but after i received my rice cooker, i guess that i found the reason: there is a warning saying: "caution: to reduce the risk of electric shock, cook only in inner pot." that warning is on a silver

chamber and remove the plastic sticker intended to save us from ourselves that says "caution, to reduce the risk of electric shock, cook only in inner pot" (duh!) before using it for the first time.

just put the desired amount of rice and water as recommended level in the inner pot then hit cook.

inner pot and accessories are not dishwasher safe.

the inner pot is just raw aluminum...lousy to cook on and clean up, but probably safer than teflon in the long run.

however, it drips into this recess such that the condensation doesn't go all over your counter, nor does it drain down underneath the inner pot.

the non-stick surface on the inner pot requires almost no effort to clean.
