Best Rice Cookers and Steamers With Warming Function for Experiment

i've done brown rice once and oatmeal half a dozen times and it's done flawlessly every time.

within half an hour of receiving my first unit, i had it unpacked, cleaned, read thesimple instructions, and had it set up for my first batch of long grain brown rice.it was cooked to perfection.

i wanted a rice cooker that could do brown rice as well as white.

so far i've had very good results with white rice, brown rice, red rice, steel cut oats and steaming vegetables.

the biggest improvement, making it more than worth the extra cost, is that it seems to get the job done in consistently less time, though cooking rice on the stovetop is certainly faster than either.

i tested this unit with three items -- slow-cooked chicken, brown rice, and a cake:

the cook modes are white rice, brown rice, sticky rice, quick cook, slow cook, and steam.

also the cup is not a usa standard cup , its international standard cup and allows 8 cups white rice without vegetables and 6 cups with vegetables and for brown rice only 6 cups ( so it does brown

you have to add 50% more water when cooking brown rice.

also if you enjoy brown rice, this cooker does a fantastic job.

the one problem i had was with brown rice.

cooks both white and brown rice very well.

yesterday i we had brown rice, extra firm tofu baked in a marinade in the oven, snow peas stir-fried with garlic and olive oil, fresh beets baked in the oven and beet greens steamed in micro-wave

i use it to make brown rice and other whole grain rice varieties and it has been perfect each time.

perfect brown rice is possible with this unit.

i have used it for long grain white rice and for brown rice, it does exellent on both.

was concerned that it would handle brown rice properly, but it does very well.

in addition it does a good job with that elusive brown rice as well.

i love brown rice, but i hate the intense, laborious process of cooking it on the stove.
