It took me a long time to finally buy a rice cooker. I couldn't be happier with the Micom Fuzzy 5.5 cup. It's the perfect size for my family of four. from Cooking.com I sent this order to a daughter for Christmas. I have not used the product so therefore cannot rate it. I have a Zojirushi rice cooker which was given to me fifteen to twenty years ago, and it is still an excellent product. from Cooking.com I have been using my Micom Fuzzy Rice Cooker for almost a month now. Tried a couple of the inexpensive ones, but was not too pleased with the results - sometimes it was great, but a lot of times the rice came out over or undercooked (or even scorched on the bottom). I was very impressed with the Zojirushi bread maker, so figured I'd bite the bullet and try out their rice cooker. I went for this model since it seemed to provide the best value - less expensive than the induction models, but more full-featured than the lower models. from Amazon.com Cleaning is simple; take out the inside bowl and spounge off, wipe down the inside of the cooker. Although we are an American family of northern European descent, we've found rice is the 'easy button' for dealing with teenager who seems to require tera-calorie meals. My experience with this product definitely makes me think twice about buying any Zojirushi product. I would rather go with a Tiger rice cooker next time. from Amazon.com I wouldn't recommend buying the el cheapo ones--the cooking quality is almost at the campsite level and you won't get the features like being able to keep the cooked rice moist and firm for much longer than an hour (!). I'll probably get this model again or something similar. The instruction manual is clear, its simple to use, and the features are great. from Newegg.com i have used Zojirushi brand just about everything in my house.if you are a rice lover like all asian,u need to invest on this brand.the rice are really good n fluffy.but when u clean the pot,use the sponge not the scrubber or any kind of brush as it will damaged the bottom.i just bought a new one last week model NS-MYC10 for 5.5cup for family of 4 like me n it works perfect as i used to owned the 10-12cups.it work perfect n for a very long time. from Amazon.com Without a doubt an excellent rice cooker.
