it has a special steaming tray for veggies to steam while your rice cooks. from Overstock.com i love my new rice cooker my rice is always cooked perfect it cleans quick and easy i dont know how i ever got along without it and i got it at a great price from Overstock.com have cooked long-grain rice and sushi rice (on sweet rice setting) numerous times, red beans & rice from a packaged box, and fresh black-eyed peas. from Target.com on the other hand, the steamer tray on top is great, i love being able to throw some broccoli on there and have it all cook together. from Overstock.com it is used only once a week to cook one large bag of brown rice. from Amazon.com Ok, we bought this steamer because we have to cook food for our sick dog every single week. The first few times I used it, the rice was really burnt on the bottom. However after like the 5th time it stopped doing it. from Target.com Love it!
