i used my last panasonic for 8 years before the nonstick wore off.
i have used couple of branded rice cookers earlier, i found panasonic sr-g18bg 10 cup rice cooker/steamer is the best one.
i have an older rice cooker from panasonic.
we were thinking to buy another band and several friends recommended panasonic.
our small (3 cup) cooker was too small and the only reason we bought this was the price and the brand (it's panasonic, they must be ok for cooking rice) not so.
when i received my panasonic rice cooker, i was so excited to see that it was pretty compact!
now, large fuzzy logic units like this panasonic sr-ms182 aren't just one trick ponies and have even improved on what i thought was some perfectly cooked white rice.
the first thing that went through my mind when the panasonic sr-ms182 rice cooker showed up on my doorstep was,"where am i going to store this thing?" the box was huge!
this panasonic model cooks a larger volume of rice, but both are very similar in feature set.
the not so hot: the instruction booklet is really poor, particularly for panasonic (who are usually good about such things).
had to update my rice cooker as my other panasonic of over 20 years gave out.
wish panasonic or someone else would make a larger capacity in the same material.
i suggest ppl to go for 10 cup panasonic cooker (which is available for the same price as this cooker from walmart!).

i have about 3 other panasonic rice cookers and panasonic just makes the best rice cookers.
this is the second panasonic rice cooker that i own (the first one lasted for almost 10 years!).
i've never had a zojirushi cooker, so i can't compare but i was happy with the panasonic cooker and i eat rice 4-5 days/week.
i was a little surprised by the price of this panasonic model, but i'm very satisfied with it.
our panasonic rice cooker was easy to setup and use.
the panasonic sr-na10 is a fantastic appliance for preparing rice.
the panasonic cleans up beautifully and cooks both white and brown rice to perfection.
after the rice cooker is done, due to it having no warming function being a 3.3 and panasonic's lowest priced model.
after going through two rice cookers, we decided to pay $5 more to get a different brand- this panasonic.
i've been conficent w/the panasonic's and this rice cooker w/such a great price again gain my loyalty to the brand--i love this rice cooker!!!
the manual is for three different models of panasonic rice cookers and can be pretty confusing.
the panasonic sr-g06fg 3.3 cup rice cooker/steamer is an excellent buy for anyone that wants to cook rice or any other item that can be steamed, e.g., oat meal.
