After tearing through at least a dozen brands, plus/minus, printable, non-printable formats and many hours of failed burns, I came across Verbatim's blank media and have had exactly 100% success! Not a single bad disc has hit the trash. from Amazon.com I don't have a printer that prints cd/dvd labels, so I can't testify as to how well that works. But even if you just write on it like I do, the white top makes for a pretty dvd. These are more expensive than other brands, but I read the reviews of the other ones before buying Verbatim, and from what I gathered from those reviews, people have had a lot of trouble w/ them. I will update my review after I used more dvds, but thus far, 10 out of 10 worked great. from Amazon.com Perfect burns every disc. I have used hundreds of these without a problem. Verbatim reliability outperforms and outlasts all of the competition. I recently got (2) 100 packs of "big brand" disks (2 diff manuf) that turned into coasters at a rate of about 2 for every 1 successfully burned. Have now used over 200 of these Verbatim disks and had only 1 coaster (think that might have been comps fault). from Amazon.com I never had issues with these disks, and they played in every single device I and my friends, for whom I happened to burn copies, had the chance to try (unlike some Sony and Maxwell I burned before). Since I started using Verbatim DataLifePlus, I do not use other brands any more, wouldn't matter they might be cheaper or free.
