The third downside is I will admit petty but due to the glossy "iPod" like finish of the remote you will get lots of finger prints on it.

The glossy finish does pick up fingerprints as other have noted and they're noticeable when light is reflecting off of it, but in normal light when it's sitting on my coffee table it's not noticeable.
