Best Remote Controls for Background

you can even add your own personal picture to the background and it can even play a slideshow when the remote is either charging or not in use.

this remote replaced my sony rm-3100 that i had bought 3 years ago, it has so much you can customize on it such as background, labels, themes etc..

allows a few more options added-charger & buttons are blue backlit (nice)- you can created your on backgrounds w128 h160 24bits (scarface for me) -controls everything i threw at it ...

the color lcd display is bright and one of the highlights of this remote is the ability to customize the background and menus and screensaver of the remote.

one thing i'd like to add is that the remote has a cool function that allows you to place your own small image as a background on the screen, and a series of them can be used as a "screen saver"

the color screen is nice and you can upload pictures for backgrounds and a slide show, but that is not a feature we use much.

you can actually upload a specific image for the background, you can select the way the time is displayed (time is updated from the computer).

i recommend not installing that as it will continue to run on the background of your computer.

it was a painless setup process for me (i have quite a computer background).

the buttons are well-placed, the ability to use your own icons and backgrounds allows more convenience (while also giving it a personal touch), and the "help" feature fixes most problems on the fly

the backlighting on the buttons is bright and much easier to see than the black paint on white background on the 659.

there weren't too many negative reviews that i read that would affect my decision so before i tell you what i think here's a little background on my "why".

some background - i'm an electronics geek and audiophile.

i also loaded some of my jpeg images as a screen background which was really cool.

background info: my wife complained of clutter from too many remotes.

if you use the cool sounding feature of using your own picture as a background, it's easy to make the menu pretty much impossible to read.

the blue lite background is awesome!!

a person needs a technical background to configure this product.

the display is difficult to read (black text on a cool-blue background) and they wish logitech had used a better color for legibility.

first off, a color screen just wasn't important to me...i like the "clean look" of just text over a solid background.
