Can't get remote to work my dish network satelite thats 98% of our use! Customer service has helped all they can but they can't get it to run because the sat receiver broadcast signal via UHF and this remote will only work on IR signal. Only got stereo receiver to work, had to get additional codes & downloads for cd player (still not working), tv, dvd/vcr all to work. from Buy.com The URC-99100 did every thing I wanted it to do. In order for the remote to work throughout, it needs it's sensor pointed at the item it's controling. Support on the website gets you no response (have sent 3 queries in the last 2 months and not one reply). The learning feature of the remote is extremely limited (it learns only about 15 buttons before memory is full), it is not even enough to program one remote (a TV remote has a minimum of 20 buttons this will learn only 15 across all devices). from Amazon.com I researched a variety of universal remotes that could handle at least five different electronics for my A/V system. After reading the specs and, in some cases, seeing the item in a retail store, I chose this one for ease of use, functionality, and price. from Amazon.com Product is excellent with new batteries. Then within a couple days of even very limited use it only works if I point it toward the box and with the closet door open, after 3-4 days you need to physically point it within 3-4 feet of the receiver, not quite what a remote with RF should need to do. I would recommend not buying this product and splurging on a better one or setting up your system with a more traditional remote system, not RF. The cost of new AAA batteries and the hassle of them running out so quickly makes this product not worth it to me. from Amazon.com You can program any buttons you want to do what you want it.
