Picked this unit up with my Pioneer Head Unit / Satellite Radio set. Used in a 2000 Chevy Silverado. from Crutchfield.com There was no listing for compatibility so I called Pioneer and asked them and this is what they said works for my avic-z2. Installation was easy and I haven't had any problems at all. from Crutchfield.com I really love this remote, I have been purchased three of them. I can't believe Pioneer would hire engineers that could overlook such an important design flaw. They should probably be taken out and shot, or at least fired. from Amazon.com Like all electronics, Pioneer has its good points and not so good. Two examples: I have their top of the line NAV system in my car and it is fantastic, but the use of light colored side roads makes them difficult to see in the day - almost useless in bright sunlight, and no control can help that. from Amazon.com I attached it to the handbrake of my Honda Civic, so the IR LEDs are facing the unit. (Which technically means it upside-down.) Regardless, I have a DEH-P690UB headunit, and the remote does work with it. The bad part about this remote, is you lose most of the features specific to your headunit, because the remote uses the generic IP-Bus interface from Pioneer. I was surprised and shocked to find no LED visible anywhere on Pioneer CD-SR100. Description

You no longer need to take your hands off the wheel or eyes off the road to operate your Pioneer head unit. The CD-SR100 can be used to control the following functions on compatible receivers: volume, mute, source change, audio and setup functions, tuning (including preset select), cassette playback, CD playback, and changer playback.
