Pros: Available, moderatly priced. Cons: No blaster. Does not include IR blasters to control cable box. Useless for a full Media Center setup unless you are recording only over the air. from Newegg.com Pros: It plugged right and worked with both XP MCE and Vista. I can't confirm if all of the buttons work with the default mythbuntu keymappings) Cons: The remote is "no-frills" Other Thoughts: I only used the remote for a few weeks, as I only wanted the USB ir receiver to receive the signals from my Logitech Harmony remote. I couldn't find a way to buy the USB receiver by itself. from Newegg.com No backlighting, feels a bit clunky and cheap. But again, it works great and is cheap. Other Thoughts: The IR receiver is worlds better than the Hauppage PVR-150 one that I had been previously using. Supposedly the polling of the IR chip destroyed incoming signals, so it always stuttered if you held down a button. from Newegg.com Pros: It works very well with my Vista laptop.
