The current configuration only allows 17 learned commands and this may be a problem if you have a multi disc DVD Player that is not on the Remote Code List, which was my situation. If you are lucky and all of your electronic equipments are on the Remote Code List, you will not have any issue. Check the manual on this web site to verify that your equipment is on the Remote Code List: http://www.gyration.com/descriptions/document/GYR3101US-Manual.pdf. You will see the list of equipment this remote supports in the last section of the manual. from Mwave.com Summary: This is one of the best, if not the best, remotes out there for media center usage on xp or vista. Gyration makes some really cool hardware and this remote can function effectively as a wireless mouse as well with easy movements in the air. works very well with Vista. from Mwave.com You need to push the buttons very hard sometimes and you can't go too fast with it. If you want to use it for a windows media center you should be aware that you gona need an additional IR blaster in order to set up your TVsignal in media center if you're using a set top box like a HD receiver. Given that it appears to be a one-of-a-kind product, it's not too bad. Hopefully Gyration has improved the IR remote firmware in the new GYR4101. The motion sensing is very good and follows your movements pretty well. I bought this on sale at a brick and mortar. They were late getting my stuff to me so I took advantage of their 24-dollar certificate and 10% off coupon and got the Gyration Compact keyboard which works great as well (came with a free "air mouse"... works better than this remote for a mouse substitute) from Newegg.com Pros: 1) MCE functions are integrated flawlessly and work very. 2) MCE functions are not directional because it has been integrated to Gyration's RF technology. You can control MCE from a very good distance and without the need to point the remote to the receiver like IR remotes. from Amazon.com I orginally got a Keyspan RF remote. It worked lousy, until the kids dropped it, not it doesn't work at all. I got the Gyration and it is a beautiful thing.
