It works great, the buttons are back lit, and the RF feature is a must have for those that keep their receiver in an entertainment center. It's a bit pricey though for a remote that DirecTV really should be including as standard equipment with their HD receivers. I changed the batteries from the generic ones shipped with the remote to ever-ready batteries and instead of the antenna included with the package, I inserted a 12" RG6 cable wire, with the ends stripped down, into the antenna slot of the box. I now have the ability to control the DirecTV box from the furthest room in the basement without having to walk out into the hallway.
