URC RFS200 PowerPak Bundle w/ MasterControl RF20 and PowerBlaster from Amazon.com I wanted to hide my cable box, DVD player, etc… and only have the TV visible in my theater room. This remote worked perfectly for my application. I decided to go with the Universal Remote RFS200 after reading the reviews here. Having tried several so called universal remotes in combination with jury-rigged IR retransmitters, amplifiers, plasma-proof receivers, etc. I found a very affordable solution with this Universal Remote RFS200 PowerPak Bundle. from Amazon.com I have been using the URC RFS200 for several months to control components that are in the same room and in a different room all at the same time. The wireless, radio controlled remote unit works great and it comes with lots of plug-in IR blasters. from Amazon.com I bought the RFS200 package when I installed my new HD TV, so that I could automate the operations. While the RF20 controller works, because of my specific equipment and the age of the RF20 design, I can't use it to do what I want. from Amazon.com I am very pleased. The remote works so well, we bought not only the RFS200 bundle with receiver but 2 more matching RF20 remotes a week later for the bedrooms. I had all of my components (Projector, HD/DVR, Audio Receiever, DVD) programmed and working through RF (radio frequency) in 2 hours (components are in a closet). from Amazon.com ANY RF20 or similar remote within range will operate your nsystem, even if it was not intending to do so. I have an older remote (The Master Control RF300) for my home theatre using a PowerBlaster to control that system in my family room. I got the URC RFS200 bundle for a second system in my bedroom. However, every time I used it to change channels on my HD DVR/Cable Box it would also change channels (or turn on, off, etc) the system in the Family Room. from Amazon.com My only complaint is the backlighting - it is there, but it is pretty faint, so it is a bit more difficult to navigate in a darkened room. For the price though, it's hard to beat. There are similar universal remotes in the $200-$600 range. from Amazon.com
