the americana brand is manufactured by ge.

don't let the brand fool you, americana is made by ge and is basically the same as the equivalent hotpoint, but less expensive.this basic model fits our needs: compact on the outside, lots of space

it is in our basement and for the money and the ratings that it gets, i think this is the best buy of all of them.
