Great receiver for the buck. Sounds great in surround and stereo modes. The only thing missing on this is a cooling fan. It gets really hot with about an hour of use on the component shelf.

This high-current receiver really puts out the sound despite the lower wattage than others. It's efficient use of wattage sounds more like a 100+W/ch receiver, only much more crisp and clean.

the best receiver in it's class, 503, 573 are not as strong as the 504 even if they say 75 watts per channel, the 504 is build a little stronger
