I purchased this unit AVR3808CI as an upgrade to my AVR635 about a month ago and must say I am very pleased with it. I purchased it along with the DVD2500BTCI (Blu-ray transport only) and also am very pleased with it. from Crutchfield.com What's great about it:?this receiver enhances all HD components What's not so great:?Slightly Pricey "This receiver is a MUST HAVE if you have all the major components example: PS3, Xbox360, Direct Tv HD Satellite, 5.1 to 7.1 surround sound speakers. I went through 3 receivers before finally settling with this high-end one. It out performed the Pioneer i had originally purchased, took that back got the Denon2309ci, exchanged that for the 3808ci. It turned out to be a firmware on the DVR problem but when I called Denon, a knowledgeable technician in the USA answered quickly and was of great help. The touch screen remote and owners manual are no help either. I would suggest to Denon that they make their products more user friendly.
