Here's why: * Constant high-pitched hiss. It's present on all channels, even unhooked ones, and does not vary with volume so obviously a problem with the power amplifier. Come on, it's not like this is new or even expensive technology, I expect more even from a budget receiver. from Amazon.com Since I have another Teac Product, a Cassette Deck, which works great, I din't bother to read the specs before ordering the Teac AG-790A Stereo Receiver. I have several complaints. from Amazon.com After having a Harmon Kardon receiver for almost 20 years that died a graceful death, my purchase before this TEAC was only about 2 years ago (big mistake was the latest purchase - a "refurbished" product from another vendor.
