Pros: OCZ usually makes great RAM. Very quick timings. from Newegg.com Second set worked (after upgrading my mobo bios), but memtest shows many error and windows blue screens very easily. I am using a GIGABYTE GA-EP45-UD3R board and setting all BIOS options to recommended settings for the RAM is very unstable. I might have been able to get it working by fiddling with the voltages and timings but it seems from the reviews here and the OCZ forums, everyone who uses this RAM with the GIGABYTE GA-EP45-UD3R board has nothing but problems. Other Thoughts: Might be good, but I can't get it working stable with GIGABYTE GA-EP45-UD3R board. from Newegg.com I had 4 GB before (from this same item) and I decided to buy this again to get 8G of memory that combined with my AMD Phenom II X4 processor makes a real difference when talking about performance. I recommend this item = p from Amazon.com Pros: My computer only crashes every 10 minutes...at least it runs. Cons: Broken when recieved, i ran a memtest and discovered 27 errors in 1 card and 11 in another. i was 2 days off of the 30 day warranty so i couldnt take them back, let alone i hear that refunds are a hassle for OCZ. find a better card Manufacturer Response:Hello, we are sorry that you are having problems. from Newegg.com System will sometimes run for hours and sometimes crash repeatedly. Overnight memtest found a bunch of errors. Other Thoughts: Hopefully RMA is smooth, I threw the package away because OCZ is supposed to be quality stuff so no newegg return for me. Cons: Does NOT run at DDR2 1066 speed. from Newegg.com Once with all modules in, and a second time with just the new ram in a different pair of slots, now checking my old ram, and the old stuff looks fine. In both tests with these 2x2gb sticks memtest found the ram to be bad. It is doubtful that I'd buy OCZ memory again. from Newegg.com Nothing would make it stable, it would either fail Memtest or it would cause BSOD during Prime95 burn in. I really did not want to RMA because it's just a pain to pack it all up and ship, but after popping in two 1GIG Corsair stick and having all tests pass with flying colors, I have to blame these two sticks. Ordering 4GB Corsair kit ASAP. (TWIN2X4096-6400C5). from Newegg.com Lack of updates, and poor phone service are a nightmare and a waste of time to boot. I have now been waiting 13 days for a replacement to be shipped. As it stands I will not be purchasing any more OCZ products until they treat their customers in a correct and replace defective items in a timely manner.
