Just like computers the price has dropped significantly but the technology is much better. The Cobra does go off near automatic doors, from my understanding these doors have a radar which tells them that someone is coming. Plain and simple don't drive more than 10 (15 if you're a risk taker) and hit brakes as soon as the cobra starts chirping.
