After a year's ownership the 9930 has shown its strengths and weaknesses. It detects well enough to avoid an interview with a cop, but it doesn't pick up scatter well, almost requiring line-of-sight with the RADAR gun. from Circuitcity.com My last Cobra radar detector (which lasted 4 years before the sound stopped working) was slightly annoying with its incessant beeping, and wound up being more of a distraction than the informative piece of equipment it's intended to be.
