the screen produces some barely noticable fresnel-like patterns at that distance, but there is no visible pixel structure.

on one hd show i thought i had spotted 2 different dead pixels (little white spots) then i realized that it was part of the signal being received because any commercial or other channel did not

most sets will have some irregularities unless they can display a pixel by pixel resolution...and that gets into a very expensive large screen tv.

small fonts, though, can be a little hard to read since the image technology does some smoothing (whereas lcds and plasmas have distinct pixels).

i am not one of those people that can see every pixel and can break down the picture into several categories, that being said, this is a great tv.

rather than having to deal with an issue of pixel burnout or image fading, which is common to the plasma and lcd televisions as they age, the dlp tvs simply have a bulb #lamp# that burns out.

it has been 3 months since i had it fix and picture is starting to look cloudy agin and gets very pixellated when watching live sports.

pros: screen uniformity, black levels, fast natural movement cons: "pixelization" if digital enhancements turned on "if you are not hanging your tv on a wall, you don't need an lcd tv.
