if you're forking out this much dough for a tv, then you should be running it through a home theater system. from Bestbuy.com they brought the tv right into the house and even helped my husband unpack it and put it up on our tv stand. from Buy.com the sound which several people have had issues with is not that bad stand alone but with a tv like this you owe it to yourself to run it thru a home stereo system. from Bestbuy.com i have not watched basic tv on it yet, as i have both tv's in my living room. from Bestbuy.com i have the tv setup in a room thats not very large, but it is the main tv room and we sit at about 10 from the set and love it. from Vanns.com this tv is obviously not made for smaller rooms, its huge!picture quality is excellent right out of the box and it is also capable of displaying hdtv signals right out of the box...i get nbc hd for from Datavis.com easy to set up; easy to operate.the picture is tremendous with the quality we'd hoped for.i later connected a sound system and the tv made it easy to complete.it's ready, full of great options and from Bestbuy.com carrying it up 3 flights of stairs was effortless.the led technology is brilliant and the tv itself looks very high class. from Bestbuy.com the plug and play system in the hl-t6187s makes it extremely easy for set up, had picture and sound going in less than an hour, after unpacking and locating wide screen tv. from Vanns.com one of the nice things about this tv is the inputs are on the side which makes it very easy to plug in various other components and with a wide array of inputs someone can have older equipment and from Vanns.com
