Pros: *HyperThreading (SMT)*Runs very cool even with a stock cooler*80W TDP (L5520 takes it down to 60W) Cons: *Less clock speed and cache than you'd like to see for the price*Remember to factor the cost of a heatsink in*The 1366 socket motherboards and accessories tend to be a bit more than the older (and thus more prevalent) socket. Other Thoughts: I gave this 5 eggs because the 'cons' are all obvious if you actually look at the specs before you buy it. from Newegg.com Pros: Stable and relatively cheap for higher QPI (5.86) Cons: Clock speed is sort of slow for the price. Slower than my core i7 920. Highest temp with HT on was 51c. Xeons are nice. This is probably the closest thing to a "sweet spot" there is on the Nehalem Xeon lineup. It's a bit of a jump between the 5506 and this (~110 as I write) but this is also the cheapest Xeon with HyperThreading (aka Simultaneous Multi-Threading or SMT). from Newegg.com
