Pros: I installed this masterpiece into my Acer Aspire 5515 and it worked like a charm. Runs a hell of a lot faster than my old AMD Athlon 2650e which only ran at a single core 1.6ghz. I've been able to run Ragnarok Online, Lineage II, Everquest, World of Warcraft, Spore, Sims 3, about 50 Firefox Pages open on seperate web sites. from Newegg.com Pros: I bought this to replace an older AMD dual core that was rated at 89 watts. This new CPU runs faster and cooler, and the included fan is good and quiet. from Newegg.com This allows CPU to be run in small cases without have thermal shutdowns problem under high work loads. Cons: Had to update bios to show up correctly although this is not a problem with the CPU. Other Thoughts: I bought this as I was having problems with my computer restarting due to overheating with my prior AMD x2 5400 at 2.8 ghz in my small Dell insprion case when my daughter was watching video. Although I have lost some performance due to this change, it is overall a worthwhile update as I no longer have to listen to the complaints due to the shutdowns. from Newegg.com Pros: Allows for very quiet, low power components in the entire system.
