i purchased the printer new, off of amazon, and from boxed, installation and final test page it took about 20 minutes on two different mac os/x 10.5 systems to get set up.

it wouldn't even print a test page using the button on the printer.

however, once you finished setup printer over cable, it will pop a message to ask if you like to print a test page.

the wired part anyway, you should be able to print a test page and see that it is functional.
