Wize Buying Guide for Photos
As most families transition from film cameras for the ease and convenience of digital cameras, the ability to print photographs from home has become a necessity. There are hundreds of products on the market offering a wide variety of features and functions, so think about your needs and preferences and take some time to learn more about the product you're purchasing.

The maximum resolution for a photo printer will not exceed 1200 x 4800 dpi (dots per inch). Price differences between printers offering the same resolution are probably due to extra features and will not have an effect on the print quality. Keep your budget in mind, and choose a printer that has the best resolution you can find.

Most people print their photos on glossy photo paper, matte photo paper, or traditional plain paper. If you want to print your photos out on different types of media, such as fabrics or specialty papers, check the printer specs to make sure the colors will fix without any bleeding or blurring.

Of course, before you pull out the credit card, make sure the printer you purchase is compatible with your home computer and its operating system. With a little time and care, you'll be enjoying lab-quality photos at home in no time.
