I have had this machine for two months. The previous printer was an Epson 340. My wife felt she needed wireless machine to use with her laptop. from Amazon.com The printer often can't detect paper, giving me a message that there's a jam when there isn't. It often pulls through 2 or more sheets of paper at a time, making it almost impossible to do a manual duplex. I will never purchase another Epson printer!! from Amazon.com I am a graphic designer, a writer, artist, and I run my own business so having a printer that meets both my artistic as well as my office needs is essential. I have never owned an Epson or an HP I never liked but the Epson Artisan 700 is by far the best printer I have ever owned. Wireless technology, a large scaning window, printing to CD, photo quality prints, copy, internal double paper tray, legal size printing... from Amazon.com I wanted to upgrade by ink jet printer as my previous Epson's ink well got full (the well that collects unused ink). My inclination was another Epson because of its print quality. from Amazon.com I ordered the Epson Artisan 700 mainly because it prints on CDs and DVDs. It does this very well, better than the HP 5280 which I have used for about two years (and which is practically defunct). from Amazon.com I like the printer alot, and I would highly recommend it. Of course, an all-in-one unit saves space, but at what cost? from Amazon.com Lots of hassle with the paper feeder grabing 2 sheets at a time and jamming, and poor print quality after a couple of months. We cleaned the heads and the nozzles to no avail. We went out and purchased all new "Epson" ink cartridges since they were getting low (70 or 80 bucks) still had issues. Followed the manual and cleaned the nozzles up to the specified amount of times which I think was 4. from Newegg.com Just received this printer today, and the photo printing doesn't work. Called Epson and had to go through the process of testing out the printer for problems. After the test, they suggested that I return the printer. from Amazon.com
