Piece of CR@P - Don't even THINK of buying it. I have a HP722c B&W printer that has to be 6 years old and like a lot of people I may not even use the printer for several months at a time. Then I start it and it works fine, Well with this brother printer I did not use it for several months after I bought it and the yellow ink cartridge is out and I never even used the yellow ink. Even tho I want to print just with black I cannot use the printer. from Amazon.com That being said, this thing also guzzles ink, my black cartridge has ALWAYS leaked, the pages come out over saturated, and often with drags of color (usually black) on them. The last time I used it I had to print 4 times to get a clean page. I'll also add that I've owned two of brother's products and neither functioned properly. The box bragged about not wasting ink because each color has a separate cartridge, so I thought it was a good product. from Amazon.com The printer takes so long to start up that every time I attempt to use it, the operation times out in Windows an I have to restart the job to even get it to actually put ink on paper. Avoid this machine at all costs. Brother should never have put this Edsel on the market, but afterwards, should have had the decency to recall it and refund every penny the purchasers paid.
