Pros: Good color (not photo quality, but very good for marketing materials with embedded photos and graphics), easy setup (printing from multiple computers running both Mac OS and Windows), good network utility, fast printing, duplexing works well, never really jams Cons: Horrible, horrible, HORRIBLE color and other problems when using 3rd-party ink. Unserviceable if something does go wrong. We switched to 3rd-party ink to save some money (it's half the price of Xerox OEM ink)--not only did it produce horrible colors (greyed blues, muddy yellows, dirty reds) but after a while we started having light stripes problems that will not go away even though the 3rd-party ink has been removed/replaced with Xerox OEM ink and should be out of the system by now. Also, this printer is unserviceable if something goes wrong, even by tech-savvy people, and Xerox won't even talk to you if you're out of warranty and haven't purchased an extended service contract.

Once it's warmed up and ready to go (which only takes about a minute) the paper flies. It's fast no matter what you're doing and the options for handling different types of colors and graphics is really great. The drawback is that if you want to keep the warranty, the colorstix you'll need to purchase from Xerox, which is incredibly expensive, although there is a lower-cost alternative which will likely save you the cost of this printer in a year.

I have owned this printer for maybe a year, and it was great for a while. You have to appreciate Xerox's bold design of using a high temp wax for the ink. Unfortunately, there is an inherent flaw in this design.

Pros: Started working very well - good print quality until it decided to start sending error messages. Xerox only supports people who buy from local dealers, so beware of buying from anyone else. Cons: Stopped working.

Pros: This is our 2nd solid ink printer. We had a lazer (xerox) in between but I really like the look of the solid ink better. It give a more glossy look.

All I can tell you is that I think the print quality is GREAT! I'll go into that a little more later.
My Phaser 8560 is the DX model, so it duplexes, which was one of the great deciding factors for me. I purchased the 8560 as a replacement for a Samsung color laser printer.

Pros: Fast, high volume printer that produces output with very vibrant colors (as long as you use Xerox ink). Cons: Genuine ink is pricey compared to generic, but it's worth it to stay with genuine Xerox ink.

Cons: Lots of repairs, Had 4 machines replaced. During head cleaning it is easy to loose hundreds of dollars of ink. Ink blocks very expensive and xerox will not allow another brand or warranty is voided.

Spits out pages amazingly fast after the warm upDouble sided printing is delightful. I make brochures and I'm thrilled with the quality. Cons: Xerox ink is a bit pricey. I'm trying another brand which will save enough to justify buying a new printer after a year or two.

I have no solid experience with its print costs, but if it works well with brand X wax ink I will It makes me wonder what the archive time will be for such documents. I haven't tried heavy stock, for calendars--if it takes it well, I be even happier. I called Xerox tech support before purchasing. Was told memory was DDR laptop memory, and that it needed to go in, in pairs.
