I have read some reviews (not on this website) that do not give fair ratings for this great little printer. Some have complained that the text or photos were subpar.

This is my third in the line my first was the 450 and it served me well two years of bouncing around the world almost always exceeding the monthly usage several times over The the 460 which was also used the same and performed always till the untimely demise at the hands of the TSA! So I purchsed the 470 although I had seen some reviews claiming the print quality was not as good as the 460.

I've got a bit of a love-hate relationship with the H4700. It's a necessity in many cases, and has saved me a few times with last minute print jobs that I overlooked or the ability to print out drafts in a hotel room, conference center, or even airport.

this printer was never meant to be for large print jobs and should not be expected to handle them.

they used their printer right out of the box with the supplied general use cartridges and never read that by using the optional cartridges this enables clear crisp prints.
