What's great about it:?Print Quality, Multiple color cartridges, Long lasting cartridges What's not so great:?Scanner "Overall I'm pleased with this all-in-one. Printing quality is very good.
from Bestbuy.com
Replacement ink is expensive and does not last long.
2. I am held hostage to replace the ink - the printer will stop ALL printing if the cartridge is not replaced in a timely manner.

Pros: None to speak of Cons: Slow printing times, especially when hooked up to network. Smears like crazy, allow 1 hour drying time before touching the printed document (I wish I was joking about this).
from Newegg.com
Pros: When working it produces great color pictures. Cons: The first C6280 failed after about three months.

Pros: Prints are fast and of great quality. It's a thermal printer, so the ink doesn't go through the paper. Easy network configuration. Excellent support under Linux.

Save your money. The HP C6280 does good work, but it has this annoying feature that it has to go through every now and then, especially when you need to print something. The sales rep told me it pressurizes the ink cartridges or something like that, in order to recycle.

After having years of good HP printers, this one is a "dud". Paper jams are fairly common and, even more frustrating, it will often go into a "calibration routine" that lasts for several minutes when you try to print something.

I purchased this printer for Christmas 07 based on a store demo. The photo printing was fantastic and the network scanning was a feature I loved.

I used this product for 13 months. In that time, I spent at least 5 two plus hour sessions with the HP technical support team trying to get the accompanying software to work. I purchased the product because it supports a LAN based connection.

It prints quite fast when printing long documents in "fast draft" mode but not so great when you queue up bunch of short documents. Two sided printing is great - saves trees. Cons: Paper jams and mis-feeds. I have never had a printer that jammed paper this much since I bought my first printer 15+years ago.
