Installation of the HP Laser jet 3050 is fairly easy although it does take a bit longer than other printers. The print quality is good and an improvement on my previous machine but it is noisy when in operation, a downside to anyone with a baby!

How crazy, it seems the farther we advance with computers the less compatible they become... I have an HP computer and an HP printer and they don't work together, I'm so mad. I just wish that HP would at least make it easy to let you know that it's impossible to get the 3050 scanner to work with vista instead of making you run all around the internet for nothing. HP you're a junk company!

i want to return the HP3050 printer,because it doesn't work,it didn't suck the paper.and without all the paper trade(see the picture).
it can not use even you ship the botten paper trade later,still missing 3 pieces paper trade and the light was on all the time shows

I had a 4-year-old 3015, which was essentially the same printer, and was going strong. Unfortunately, it just wouldn't scan right with Vista. HP offered to SELL me a new 3050 to replace it. I bought.

Says good for 2000 copies. Only negative is you cannot add to a network, wired or wireless. The 3050 costs about the same as the old brother toner & drum replacements. The Brother is now in the trashcan and lovin the HP 3050.

If you are, for example, printing 50 copies, the toner could run out after copy 2, giving you 48 misprinted sheets that are destined for the recycle bin. Since the sheets exit face down, you cannot see this happening until it is too late.
I've been trying to find a highly-rated equivalent printer (laser all in one) that works well on the Mac, and when I do, this 3050 will be gone.

Pros: Fax works. NewEgg.com is wonderful and shipping was fast. Cons: Loading the HP 3050 program for this printer causes my computer to become so slow, it is unusable. I've loaded, unloaded and reloaded many times with the same result.
