Pros: Low cost of entry
Cons: High recurring cost, terrible support, low reliability, very low print quality
The Bottom Line: Do not buy this printer, or in fact, any Samsung product. This printer alone is terrible, but Samsung's product support is the worst.

Pros: Purchased this printer three years ago and have had no problems Cons: It is a bit loud when printing Other Thoughts: Purchased because I needed a printer that would emulate an HP LaserJet 5. To properly print from software that required an HP LJ5 I had to use Windows provided HP drivers

Pros: Easy setup - nice printouts - quick Cons: None Other Thoughts: Other reviewers say that this printer is loud - it's not any louder than any other laser printer. And when it goes to sleep, there's no noise at all.

When this happened first couple of times I thought it was accidental. However, this has been happening much more frequently and it has now come to a point that it takes me an hour sometimes to get the paper removed from the machine as it gets all torn while coming out and most of it is stuck inside.
The reason for this is, from my understanding, that the Samsung ML-2250 model gets very hot which affects the paper printing and paper gets all severely crumpled when it comes out.
After re-reading other reviews more carefully, I realized that quite a few folks had same kind of problem related with this printer.

This printer get hot, and a little disturbingly so. Haven't had a problem with overheating, but it does worry me occassionally. Because of the high heat, the printer tends to put out an strong odor, like what you're used to with a laser printer, but it's much stronger. I had only one paper jam while I've had this printer for 5 months.

It prints out so much porn, I don't know what to do with it! In an effort to reduce the gross tonage, I resorted to handing it out to children at school bus stops. Samsung ML-2250 Monochrome Laser Printer... You Rock!

As a graduate student, I needed to find a basic black and white laser printer that produced high quality text documents...and a lot of them for cheap. So I was naturally apprehensive when I read a few of the reviews of this product on Amazon.

->The manual feed pull-down shelf is flimsy. The arms break with regular use.
->Samsung support (the most important issue here) is absolutely horrendous. Their solution to the problem is, after hours on the phone, to send a refurbished printer to replace the unit.
