i would highly recommend this to anyone for basic household/small business use, if budget allows, even if this will be the only printer you have.
  2. from www.amazon.com
i'm just a home user so i'm not exactly running up against deadlines but it sure beats my old printer.
  3. from www.amazon.com
photos are not quite as good as inkjet on glossy paper, but quite acceptable for home use.

the rest of the family set it up on their xp machines also silk smooth.
  2. from www.amazon.com
and in a multicomputer household, the unit's built-in networking makes it easily available to all users.
  3. from www.amazon.com
i wouldn't use it for high-end photo scanning, but an occasional family picture scan here or there, especially for web distribution will be just fine with it.

Wize Buying Guide for Home Use
When buying a color inkjet printer for your home, there are several things to check before purchasing a machine:

  • Make sure that the color printer cartridges are each separate units. Some printers have all-in-one color cartridges, which will cost you more money in the long run. It is much more practical to purchase the colors as you use them rather than replacing all of them each time one runs out.

  • If your home office space is limited, consider an all-in-one printer. These models can function as fax machines, scanners, copiers and printers without the need for multiple pieces of equipment, saving you both space and money.

  • As a general rule, you should buy the highest-quality printer that you can afford. Upkeep costs vary widely from one model to the next, however, so be sure to research how much it will cost to replace the ink cartridges or the toner in each machine.

  • If you're purchasing a printer for photo use, consider getting a card printer rather than an inkjet or laser printer. Card printers will print your photos directly from your memory card and will allow you to use special paper created specifically for photo-printing purposes.
