Sold an Epson 4000 and bought this. This size of the ink cartridges works out much better for the occasional, non-production individual printing photographer. from Bhphotovideo.com The print quality is excellent. However, I have had difficulty with paper feeding properly from the main tray. I like the large capacity ink cartridges which last a long time. Prints come out a good shade darker than they should be. I've tried all the obvious fixes with Epson tech support: 1) Calibrating my monitor to make sure it's not too bright, and trying other monitors (all at or below L=100) from Amazon.com My advice is to test print on 8X10 paper before you jump to the 17X22 stuff. There seems to be an F stop tipping point where the printer gets it right and where it doesn't..haven't figured it out yet. I called Epson service and was told to take it to the service dealer (150 miles away) or ship it back for a serviced unit. It is large, but it does handle 16x20 prints wonderfully. I really like the large ink cartridges, they last well.
