Best Print Servers for Ssid

tell me it will not work with a multi-function model.tech support was a joke started by asked me for my ssid and wep key (this one is getting returned, hope the rep reads more up on the products).

for example, it does not tell you that the ssid of the router and any encryption need to match exactly with your print server settings you set with the wizard, or you will get a connect failed error.

i haven't had to call linksys tech support and the only issue i ever had with something not working was my fault (i had a space in the name of my ssid of my access point/router, and when installing

(settings for the ssid, wep, mac etc) save these settings and remove the cat 5 cable from both ends.

i use mac address filtering; static ip's; wpa-psk; and no ssid broadcasting.

i was still able to hide my ssid, continue to use a mac address lookup table, and wpa is robust enough to thwart all but serious hackers.

after i went and got the manual from the netgears web site, and found out default ip is 192.168.0.102 ( if i remeber correctly) to set up the secruity and ssid to match my d-link extremeg router it

it scans for wireless signals and you enter in your network ssid.

i also had to set super g mode to "super g w/o turbo" (it defaulted to "super g w/ dynamic turbo") select wireless network name (ssid) as same as wireless router.

i am using wpa security and have my ssid hidden.cons: i did have to call tech support twice due to the normal steps of connecting a printer to the print server did not work.

i love the dual wireless ssid.

use the installation tips provided by others...emphasizing the following...1)ensure that the ssid is the same on the printserver and router 2)per linksys print server support, the standard static ip

first off all: the ssid, the wireless channel and the wep encrytion of the printer server must be the same as your router!!!!!

i was kind of disappointed to find that the server had to initially be configured over ethernet instead of having a default ad-hoc ssid that could be used the first time.
