Best Ethernet Print Servers for Room

while i couldn't get this product working with my specific printer, i do not blame it, since it is the third brand print server i have tried with same printer.

i used this product in conjunction with our small office netwrok, and it works perfectly fine from every computer in the office.

so i went out and got this print server mainly b/c it used 802.11g and wpa-psk, the same as my home network.

i have 4 computers networked to this print server and it works great.

i was very very sceptical about the product after reading the user reviews and with prior experience with linksys print servers.

after setup, the printer would work if the print server was connected to the router with an ethernet cable, but it would not connect to the router wirelessly.

setting up the linksys wps54g on my wireless network was so easy and it was even easier adding my other computers once the inital print server was setup.

i have a completely d-link home network (router and wireless network card).

they have a tiny list of supported devices, and they only support the printer mode of the aio, and *not* scanning & faxing!

summary: i spent a total of 13 hours on the phone with d-link customer support trying to resolve technical issues and get this device working with my basic home wireless network.

summary: got this mf wps from officedepot.com for a good price of about $60+taxes.

does not support tcp/ip printing, so no printing from mac osx or linux.

the product does not live up to its promise of seamless wireless printing on a network

i have vista on my computer and checked the linksys website for printer compatibility prior to purchasing the print server.

spent over 15 hours w/ 6 different tech.my printer could not be recognized.they said that someone will call me in one hour.never received a call.i called back, they put me on hold for 20 minutes and

i lost the ability to scan images to my pc.so i did a little research and found a wireless print server that promised all-in-one device support.

i purchased this just for wireless print only.

but i had no difficulty installing this wireless module -- it took about 5 minutes to install.

overall the hp wireless printing upgrade kit worked as advertised, but i am disappointed that you have to be so close to the printer with your laptop for it to work properly.
