Pros: I am unable to list any...could never get this product to work as intended. Cons: I bought this print server for two features: First, it had my printer (an older HP Photosmart 7350) listed as compatible. from Newegg.com Pros: NONE. Defective out of BOX Cons: Sat on phone with D-Link tech support for 2 + hours and got no where. Had to set up static IP on PC and connect directly to Print server. from Newegg.com This product worked adequately with my Canon IP1500 printer, but when I replaced it with an Epson NX100 I could not get the printer to stay online. The only way I can get it to print even a small file is to cycle the power on the print server - only then does it print a simple test page. from Amazon.com This is the first wireless print server I've bought, and although it saves me from having to run cords across a room, I find myself avoiding printing anything because the print server times out or somehow loses the connection to my printer, usually within several hours of resetting it, and at least once a day. That means that if I want to print for the first time in a few hours, I usually have to get up, unplug the print server, wait a few seconds, plug it back in, and wait a few more seconds before it realizes there's still a printer attached to it. It also doesn't have a power switch--no reason it should apart from this problem--which means I have to unplug the A/C adapter from the back of the print server or unplug it from the receptacle. from Amazon.com This was purchased to give internet access to both a PC used for online gaming and an XBOX 360 for netflix and online gaming. I currently have it ~40 ft away from my D-link wireless router, separated by 4 walls including a closet full of clothes, and the computer attached to it still gets 99% of the send/receive speeds of my direct connection. from Amazon.com If you are of normal tech savy intelligence then you can only hurt your cause : ) They are very helpful if their accent isn't too hard to understand. Second, if you have a wireless router it is easier to buy a print server of the SAME brand! I never got this product to officially work and here's why: from Amazon.com Cons: Doesn't actually work with all the printers they claim work. Technical Support is a JOKE. Getting an e-mail reply is difficult (5 e-mails in), calling them on the phone is pointless. It would help if SOMEONE in the tech support department understood the English language. from Newegg.com Pros: * great reception.* displays all nearby networks and their channels* smallish* four USB ports, various options for connecting to printers (TCP/IP, LPD). * works great with WPA2* firmware upgrades Cons: * can't do WPA (see other thoughts) although it's documented as capable* Web interface works but is really slow at times. from Newegg.com When trying to print after a few inactive days the first page prints half way and nothing thereafter. Junk in my opinion. Used to like D-Link but I am leaning toward Netgear now. from Amazon.com Pros: This is really good deal when you have multi computers with one printer, support well for wireless network. I replaced this unit with the USB shared since Vista does not support the USB shared, Cons: Does not work with Epson scanner, I have Epson Perfection 2400 Photo and no way to get this DPR-1260 to communicate. from Newegg.com
