All machines connected to switch via WiFi; Print Server by Cat5 cable. Problems: none. Comments: (1): NetGear doesn't have Linux drivers (that I could see). (2): The print server loads data before passing it on to the printer, which also buffers it. from Compusa.com This is an excellent deal for $24. It is a Netgear Brown Box Refurb (i.e.- direct from manufacturer not a repackaged return). I am using this with a Samsung SCX-4521FG printer and it is up and running with 4 computers on my network (two running Vista, one with MCE and the other with XP Pro). from Tigerdirect.com First, make sure your printer is on the compatibility list. After that, follow instructions exactly. After that, may need to manually add a printer port...my software kept giving a printing error until I manually set up a port...see the Netgear website for instructions. Other than that, great product for the price! from Compusa.com the product works great even on bigger jobs. Cons: none Other Thoughts: The people on here that are having problems probably didn't set up there printing port right. if the printer is on netgears compatibility list it WILL work. from Newegg.com The PS121 worked well with my Brother HL-2070N and is said to also work with my Brother HL-5140 (although I haven't tested that printer yet). I run XP Pro with SP3. from Amazon.com My dad bought it so that we (2 PC's and a Mac) could all share 1 printer (HP OfficeJet 5610). It was easy enough to install it on the PC's, but the Mac was impossible. The documentation was incorrect, the CD was useless and Netgear's technical support was a joke. I called them and was told that it was an Apple problem and I should call Apple. from Amazon.com I had trouble getting this printer server to work. When I called NetGear for help I was refused because my printer server had the serial number blacked out. from Amazon.com -this product works great with a Samsung ML-2510 laser printer. even complex graphics, multi-page jobs sail through. I uninstalled the Netgear software on the PC - you don't need it and it only slows stuff down. The only reason you would want that software is if you can't do the alternate method. from Amazon.com Pros: Basic printing does a good job Cons: NETGEAR tech support. It has to be one of the worst in the technology realm. from Newegg.com For the price, the PS121v2 is a good deal. The hardware works as expected but the supporting software may give you a USB error. from Amazon.com
