What's great about it:?It is small and looks nice What's not so great:?Netgear tech support "I tried to install this Netgear print server to work with my AT&T 2Wire DSL wireless router. After going through the installation steps several times I broke down and called the tech support. from Bestbuy.com It's a great product but buy it ONLY if you know enough to understand my solution followed. Because you may run into problem with the installation wizard software. Initially the wizard did not recognize the WGPS606 which IP stayed as 192.168.0.102. I circumvened it by connecting it directly to computer which is set to a static IP 192.168.0.1 (same range as the WGPS606). from Compusa.com The Netgear WGPS606 is an adequate 4-port Ethernet bridge for your existing wireless network, but fails as a print server. Use the instructions on the support site to setup, and don't bother with the software (if included). from Compusa.com My daughters live in an apartment that has its own hotspot, and that's how they get on the internet. This item won't do that, but I haven't yet found anything that will. I connected this to another router, and made the WGPS606 the access point for the apartment's wifi hotspot. Then, it supplies internet access to the router, and then their computers access the internet through the router, and they can also print to the printer, which is hooked up to the WGPS606. from Compusa.com I can't yet tell you how well it works as a print server because its installation "program" is just outright total junk. I always like when hardware makes me look like a total fool at a customer's site. The good: from Amazon.com Cons: tired to use this in our business where our wireless network has a different VLAN than our wired network VLAN for security purpose. Unit does not have a default Gateway IP so we could not set this up for our use. Netgear tech support confirmed this and addd all thier products do not have default gateway setting. from Newegg.com I knew I was taking a chance on this product after reading other reviews here, many of which were negative. I also was taking a chance because my printer - an older HP Color LaserJet 2550L - was not included on Netgear's list of supported printers. But in about 10 minutes of following the setup instructions, I had moved my printer to the next room, printed my first documents, and - best of all - reclaimed badly needed desk space. from Amazon.com Pros: Excellent print server.
