as far as i can tell, the lcd screen displays some level of high definition, but i have yet to find a single spec sheet that shows the resolution of the screen to prove this, including the

most of the settings you would find on a larger lcd (picture settings, sleep, ws zoom, etc..)but the remote is really lacking an instant button for closed captions which this set displays admirably.

once everything is connected, use the remote control to display the on-screen menu.
