My boys received this product as a christmas present (12/06) and we started having problems with it 3 weeks ago. At first it would stop half way through then it just started saying bad disc. from Target.com Played for 15 seconds, if that, and then just stopped. Kept saying bad disk.(which by the way, were brand new dvd's) Really dissapointed. Thought Polaroid was a good brand. from Target.com My kids saved their money and purchased very similar item (pdm-2727) for $189.00. Dvd player quit playing after 4 months. I called polaroid and was told it had a 90 day warranty-that was already expired, but that I could exchange it for $110.00. I was expecting a repair fee, but polaroid doesn't do that. from Target.com

from Shopping.com The the player door clip broke. Then it just quit playing movies - 'Bad Disc' error for all discs. So I bought another player and used the second screen with it, but it died too. Again, I think most of this was from rough handling by the kids, but still, it didn't put up much of a fight. from Circuitcity.com I found that I didnt take off the little plastic shield that goes on the player where you install the disk that is put there for shipping. Once off, the player played fine... To play both screens, you either need two rechargeable batteries, (only comes with one) or a power source -car charger or house adapter (comes with both). Was easy to figure out. from Circuitcity.com When you go over bumps in the road, the movie cuts off. Some times the second player won't work at all or it acts like it has a short in it - off and on. The final straw was when we putin a video for the kids and the secondary screen would show blue but no picture and no sound. Screen and sound quality are very good. My kids often go to the 'drive-in', sitting in the car watching a movie they could watch on the big screen inside, but this is more fun. from Circuitcity.com
