I got a refurbished model. It skips and freezes on the movies I have tried - more so when plugged in than on batter power.
Also, you can't make it take up the whole screen - on older DVDs like the Hunt for Red October it only displays on a third of the screen right down the middle.
You can zoom in but that cuts off the picture and the resolution looks bad.

I got this Toshisha Portable DVD Player as a birthday gift last month.
I took it with me on my vacation to the Caribbean, and I have to say that this is the best portable dvd player available in the market.

I have no complaints about the quality of the LCD screen, probably the best available on a portable player.
The problem here is that everything else about this DVD player is really bad.
