I got this RCA DVD player because I've had other RCA products in the past and was, overall, satisfied with them. I shopped long and hard and did alot of reading before buying this RCA DRC615N Portable DVD Player, 7" (16 x 9) LCD simply because I hate blowing money on something that is missing a key piece of equipment that would make the item usable. Not with this item which comes with everything you need to use within five minutes which is how long it took me to unpack the box, count the items to make sure they were all there, and then plug the charger in and use the machine. from Amazon.com I got this RCA DVD player because I've had other RCA products in the past and was, overall, satisfied with them. Lots of other sites mention the SD slot so maybe a previous version had one. from Amazon.com I searched long and hard for this, read reviews and felt this would be the perfect gift for my 15 year old son for his birthday. I charged the battery and wrapped it up and it never worked. The door was closed but the player said it was open, therefore would not play the dvd.
