After a couple of unanswered emails to "customer service" at Audiovox, I was finally advised that they would try to repair the player for a fee of $79.95!!! from Amazon.com if it hadn't had words on the opening screen I might not have noticed how bad the pixilation is, enough I would guess, to make reading the credits impossible. Neither the color nor sharpness are anywhere near as good as on the phillips (which actually costs a bit less), nor is the build quality. This machine is unusual, in that it has a detachable battery. This *could* be an advantage as it would allow you to carry a spare and double the battery life... from Amazon.com At first Audiovox had incorrect information as to spare battery for unit. After shipping me 2 wrong ones, ( I was allowed to return)it was determined the correct ones were due in from overseas the following month. from Amazon.com This is a great deal.
